Abstract

The report aims to explore public sentiment among residents of the Kazakh SSR during the war years, drawing on unpublished archival sources. Particular emphasis is placed on the negative attitudes expressed by various social groups, as the patriotic enthusiasm of Soviet citizens has already been extensively covered in historiography.
