Mass agitation and propaganda played a crucial role in shaping the labor behaviour of Soviet citizens at defence enterprises. While the Soviet state actively documented successful propaganda efforts during the war, assessing their effectiveness and impact on workers' productivity has only recently become possible for historians. This paper examines the mobilization mechanisms of Soviet propaganda and agitation, analyzing their influence on labor behaviour, discipline, and engagement among defence industry workers in Kazakhstan during the war years.
