Abstract

The article examines Cyrillic early printed books of the 16th - 17th centuries from the territories of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, which are stored in the libraries of the monasteries of Mount Athos. In particular, we study publications from printing houses in Lviv and Ostroh. Some of these books were transferred to Mount Athos by representatives of Ukrainian brotherhoods. The exchange of printed books attests to the existence of close spiritual and cultural ties with the monasteries of Mount Athos, which was one of the important factors in the development of the culture of the peoples of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth
