This presentation examines the biscriptal history of Belarus, which emerged through cultural and political interactions, encompassing both the Cyrillic and, to a lesser extent, the Latin alphabet. The use of the Latin script has been shaped by enduring narratives within a conflict-laden context, reinforcing historical tensions. I will analyze these recurring narratives as discursive patterns that resurface in conflict situations and serve as artifacts of (historical) memory.
