Children made up a large portion of the evacuated population at sites of resettlement on the Soviet home front; many were evacuated as part of schools or other childcare institutions. This paper will explore how these evacuated children's institutions were mobilized as agents of Sovietization on the home front to bring Soviet principles and culture to local populations.
