Language Policy Pluralities: Comparative Insights from Two Estonian State Upper-Secondary Schools on the Estonian-Russian Border

Abstract

In this presentation, we share the interim results from a long-term qualitative study (2023-2026) on ideas of quality in two new state upper-secondary schools in northeastern Estonia. In centering ideas of space, we highlight the diverse ways language policies are generated and holistically play out in a comparative perspective.
