Finding "Kosovo" on maps, forms, and country lists remains a challenging task to this day. However, there is one cultural and media domain where Kosovo has achieved full normalization and internationalization of its official symbols: sports. Drawing on an analysis of historical documents, books, documentary videos, oral testimonies, and interviews, this paper will explore how collective memory in Kosovo links sports practice to the development of an agency and identity that are still an ongoing process.
