Autocephaly of the Georgian Orthodox Church

Abstract

The issue explored in this paper about the Orthodox Church of Georgia is that of chronology, particularly as it is tied up with other issues of recognition by other members of the wider (Byzantine) Communion. In particular, issues of recognition by the larger sees of Orthodoxy: Constantinople, Antioch, and Moscow will be discussed.
