The paper explores Pier Paolo Pasolini’s legacy in post-Soviet Russia, focusing, in particular, on Pasolini’s influence on two poets and political activists: Eduard Limonov and Kirill Medvedev. Pasolini’s work and public stance have served as a blueprint for challenging the Russian intelligentsia’s traditional cultural conservatism and political apathy. Building on these premises, I argue that Pasolini’s legacy has sparked the emergence of new, intimate and visceral approaches to politics and cultural tradition in post-Soviet Russia.
