This study examines how Russian-speaking communities in Finland construct and interpret Finnish-Russian historical memory, shaped by migration, social integration, and geopolitical shifts. Following February 2022, Finnish historical policy has distanced itself from Russian narratives, impacting national memory and minority identities. Using collective memory and historical consciousness frameworks, the research analyzes qualitative interviews, media discourse, and historical policy to explore how these groups navigate their evolving identity within Finland’s shifting historical landscape.
