This presentation examines the consequences of the Sino-Soviet split, and specifically how it fractured the socialist bloc. Its main focus is how the split allowed China to recast itself as an independent ideological leader. The project seeks to explain how the split reconfigured, rather than weakened, global communism by fostering new pathways for anti-imperialist and Third World solidarity through China's promotion of an alternative revolutionary model.
