Brief Description

In the post-Soviet era, the countries of the former USSR have been active in creating and reforming judicial institutions. These states’ attitudes toward and relationship with courts, both domestic and international, have undergone many changes. This panel explores these issues through papers focused on the Russian arbitrazh courts, the Kazakh courts of general jurisdiction and the European Court of Human Rights.
