A Window on Contemporary Czech Literature

Brief Description

This roundtable will offer a collective overview of developments in Czech literature of the past decade, from 2015 through the present. The speakers will each discuss a particular literary phenomenon, exemplified through short analyses of passages from selected works. In this way, the audience will be able to sample a variety of recent works that represent various genres, themes and styles. The selected works will serve as a starting point for a discussion of current trends and how they relate to previous Czech literary history.
