Session Submission Type: Panel
The panel will examine various aspects of the current Russian discourse on the war against Ukraine in light of recent developments. Focusing on Putin’s rhetoric as well as on Russian media such as television and Telegram channels, the proposed papers will show the transformations that the rhetoric of war has undergone in 2025, following the rapid development of international politics. A key aspect of the presentations will be the dialectic of framing peace in the context of a fundamental geopolitical confrontation with the “collective West”.
