This roundtable convenes experts exploring various dimensions of Russian language pedagogy from the perspective of diversity.. Participants will examine how diverse Russian-speaking perspectives shape effective teaching methods across different contexts.
The discussion features specialists addressing:
U.S. state-funded immersive Russian programs abroad;
Russian for professional purposes in science, business and diplomacy;
the unique needs of heritage learners with family connections to Russian culture;
evolving contemporary language norms and regional variations;
and the linguistic patterns of Russian-speaking diaspora communities worldwide.
This collaborative conversation moves to acknowledge Russian language and its diverse manifestations beyond the ideas of ethnicity and state.
