Session Submission Type: Roundtable
This roundtable brings together the authors of four new monographs: Avant-Garde Post–: Radical Poetics After the Soviet Union (Harvard UP, 2023) by Marijeta Bozovic, Technologies for the Revolution: The Czech Avant-Garde in Print (Artefactum and Karolinum Press/Chicago, 2025) by Meghan Forbes, Cultural Capitalism: Literature and the Market After Socialism (Cornell UP, 2025) by Bradley Gorski, and Subscribing to Sovietdom: The Lives of the Socialist Literary Journal (University of Toronto Press, 2025) by Philip Tuxbury-Gleissner. The authors will introduce their books and focus on discussing thematic intersections, such as the social and political dimension of literary publishing, the connection between politics and poetics, and the economics of the literary marketplace.
