Turkoslavia, the online literary journal focusing on Slavic and Turkic cultures and languages founded by the collective of the same name, is hosting a fundraiser to honor ASEEES 2025's special focus on Central Asia. Please join us to celebrate the diverse literature of the Turkic and Slavic world, its authors and translators, and the dedication of Turkoslavia founders Sabrina Jaszi and Ena Selimović. The event will feature readings of prose and poetry by the journal’s authors in English and in their source languages, as well as contributors to the new Tulips in Bloom anthology of Central Asian literature in translation. Featured readers will include Hamid Ismailov (Uzbekistan) with translator Shelley Fairweather-Vega, Faruk Šehić (Bosnia) with translator Ena Selimović, and other writers and translators who support Turkoslavia and its mission.
