Abstract

Andreas Helmedach deals in his paper with slave making and slave selling as war experience of Venetian soldiers during the Cretan War and the Morean Wars (1645-1669, 1684-1699, 1715-1718). He analyses the fortunes of slavers and slaves as translocalization and transculturalization processes.
