In Event: Revolt of Words: Inverting the New Political Vocabulary in Late Perestroika Eastern Europe
Pro-Soviet organizations, that set the goal to preserve the USSR and its political system, began consolidation in 1988. At a time of deep political crisis, they were forced to revise and re-invent their political vocabulary. The report analyzes elaboration of the new political dictionary by Pro-Soviet political forces of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Moldova in late Perestroika period, 1988-1991.
