Abstract

Cultivating Community in Graduate School and Beyond: An Interactive Session

Sponsored by the Graduate Caucus and Co-Sponsored by the Committee on Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity (CODIE)

Recognizing that the ASEH has not always been a welcoming space for marginalized scholars, this session for graduate students and early-career scholars will focus on building community and support networks for diverse scholars and their allies. During the session, participants will break out into small groups led by early-career scholars to discuss and tackle common challenges faced in graduate programs, teaching, research, funding, and professional activities. Participants may contact the panel chair ahead of time with suggestions for conversation topics.
