Abstract

The recent rise of Latino demographics in the United States has led efforts by institutions to promote racial equality on campuses. The participation of Latinos in intercollegiate athletics is becoming more evident, yet research has not examined the stereotypes and misconceptions that still perpetuate a racial tension in higher education.
