The Importance of Focal Practices Informing Education Improvement Intervention Design for Postsecondary Science Educators

Abstract

We explored postsecondary biology educators’ perceptions of education improvement interventions targeting teaching practices. Perceptions were situated at the intersection of felt problems of practice and professional competencies, collectively educators’ focal practices, and illuminate intervention engagement and practice revisions. Implications for the design of future education improvement interventions are discussed.
