Abstract

This study, drawing on Albrechtslund’s (2008) framework of participatory surveillance, examines how social networking sites might alter student perceptions of community and encourage student engagement. More broadly, we ask how SNS can create new spaces for student expression and connection, seamlessly connecting their virtual and physical worlds.
