Abstract

The study considered factors that influence African American academic persistence. Through the collection of student counternarratives, the author uncovered persistent racism and microaggressions on the Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISIs) college campus. This finding is significant because there is little research on Black students’ experience on AANAPISIs.
