Abstract

Master’s education was last examined comprehensively more than a decade ago. A new phenomenon, self-sustaining master’s programs has emerged and flourished without much attention from researchers in higher education. This exploratory study, a multi-site case study cross three states, aims at demystifying institutional decision-making process on establishing and expanding these programs.
