College Entrance and STEM Declaration for Women, Minorities, and Students with Disabilities

Abstract

Framed using Perna’s (2006) college choice model and HSLS:09 data, this paper explores the factors related to college enrollment and STEM major declaration for women, racial minorities, and students with disabilities. The last population mentioned is the main focus of this analysis due to historic inattention.
