Teaching with Transformational Resistance: The Case of Mexican American Studies Programs in Texas

Abstract

This case study investigates Mexican American Studies programs at eight community colleges throughout Texas. Through a lens of transformational resistance (Solórzano & Delgado Bernal, 2001), this study focuses on the efforts of community college faculty to build and sustain these programs and what effects they see these programs having students.
