Graduate Student Debt: 2000-2012 Trends and Implications

Abstract

This study updates and deepens prior analyses on graduate student debt for doctoral, master’s, and professional students from 2000 to 2012. While prior research shows significant increases in graduate debt over the ~decade, multilevel analyses herein more precisely examine change in graduate debt over time and by institution type.
