Investigating Predictors of Sense of Belonging for International Students through a Predictive Model

Abstract

The study tests a predictive model of sense of belonging for international students, using self-reported survey data from first-year students attending a research-intensive land-grant university in the Midwest. The structural equation modelling revealed that homesickness can play a crucial role in the sense of belonging of international students.
