The Tennessee Promise Application Pipeline: Student Attrition, Enrollment Decisions, and Postsecondary Persistence

Abstract

To remain eligible for the Tennessee Promise, high school seniors must meet five deadlines. This paper explores the characteristics of students who drop out of the “Tennessee Promise pipeline” and their eventual higher education outcomes, if any. Further, this paper investigates Tennessee Promise students’ persistence at community and technical colleges.
