Abstract

This preliminary study examines Smith’s (2011) atheist identity model through an ethnographic lens by examining theistic and secular cultural transmission in the lives of atheist, graduate students. Preliminary findings show future models of atheist identity development must account for greater diversity among atheist students on college campuses.
