Linking Whiteness to Campus Climate Research: Advancing Critical Whiteness Studies as a Theoretical Framework in the Study of Racial Climates

Abstract

This paper proposes a more explicit link between whiteness and campus climate research. In particular, we advance Critical Whiteness Studies as a theoretical framework in racial climate research. In doing so, we illuminate the possibility of shifting the focus from victims of racism to individuals and systems perpetuating white supremacy.
