How Organizational Culture Affects on the Relationship between Research Productivity and Teaching Effectiveness

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine empirically the evidence of how organizational culture affect the teaching-research nexus. The results show that faculty performance in teaching and research is positively correlated when academic autonomy preserved. While institutional interventions that harm faculty autonomy have negative effects on faculty performance.
