Abstract

About 1% of foster youth graduate college (Pecora, 2005), many arrive to college campuses without an adult in their lives. Parents offer guidance, resources, emotional support, and access to their networks; foster youth lack family privilege. This paper seeks to understand ways in which college programs mitigate these issues.
