Measuring Civic Engagement: Using MSC Data to Inform Assignment Design in the Classroom

Abstract

This mixed-methods study will use data from the Multistate Collaborative (MSC) for Advancing Quality Student Learning to inform assignment design for the purposes of measuring student learning outcomes. This study will focus specifically on the exploration of designed assignment design characteristics designed to increase demonstrated learning in civic engagement.
