Nonpecuniary Returns to Postsecondary Education: Examining Early Non-Wage Labor Market Outcomes Among College-Goers in the United States

Fri, November 10, 11:45am to 1:00pm, Marriott Marquis Houston, Floor: Fourth, Salon F

Abstract

While research consistently finds positive earnings returns to educational attainment, there is little evidence regarding postsecondary education’s impact on other employment-related outcomes. Using the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth 1997 and regression analyses, this paper examines non-earnings employment outcomes associated with different levels of postsecondary educational attainment.
