An Analysis of Division III Literature and Critical Race Theory Critque

Abstract

Literature focused on NCAA Division III athletics suggests: (a) athletes are experiencing academic outcomes exceeding their peers; (b) athletes perceive positive campus experiences; and (c) there is disagreement regarding the strength of athletes’ athletic identity. Building from this, I offer a critique of Division III athletics from a CRT perspective.
