This symposium discusses findings of the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine committee on assessing interpersonal and intrapersonal competencies, including 8 competencies that appear to be both malleable and related to college success; and the uses of these assessments in the field of higher education, in scholarship and practice.
