The purpose of this study is to critique and disrupt linear, hierarchal views on mentorship through examining the peer mentoring that evolved organically from students who were part of the McNair Scholars Program (MSP). We argue in this paper that rhizomatic interconnections give space to allow "woke mentoring" to occur.
