Reframing Latino Masculinities as a Form of Capital

Abstract

Latino men hold a contradictory position within a system of patriarchal privilege - one that offers them advantages, yet undermines their racial, cultural, linguistic capital. This study sought to explore how Latino male college students redefined characteristics of masculinity (e.g., competitive ethos, breadwinner orientation), which ultimately led to their success.
