Abstract

This paper examines the role of US-Japan faculty mobility in professional development and influence on the internationalization of higher education, paying particular attention to US liberal arts colleges. A qualitative study with 10 in-depth interviews aims explores how professional experiences are related to the host country, host region, and world.
