Intercollegiate Foreign Tours and Academic Engagement for Student-Athletes: An Integrative Learning Approach

Abstract

We qualitatively explore the learning outcomes of student-athlete foreign tour participation. Conceptualizing the foreign tour as a study abroad experience, we present our findings as evidence of successfully combining athletic and academic opportunities for student-athletes who are often unable to participate in learning-supportive engagement opportunities.
