Faculty practices that predict engagement among Southeast Asian American community college students

Abstract

Data from the Community College Success Measure were analyzed to examine faculty practices that contribute to faculty-student engagement among 605 Southeast Asian American community college students. Findings from the hierarchical multiple regression analysis suggest that engagement is more of a function of faculty practices and less of students’ background characteristics.
