Abstract

This qualitative study explores how community college counselors provide advising and counseling for Southeast Asian American male students. Findings underscore the critical role of humanizing the advising and counseling process, valuing cultural background and experiences, respecting cultural and gender norms, and proactively engaging and challenging SEAA male students.
