In this study, the author investigates how access to elite secondary education influences opportunities for women who matriculate into public universities in Ethiopia. The analysis is based on an exploratory, mixed methods research design of current students and alumni of various Ethiopian universities. Additionally, implications for academic tracking are discussed.
