Preparing Minority Serving Institution Faculty to Lead Study Abroad

Abstract

This qualitative study examines an initiative to prepare MSI faculty to lead study abroad. We use Kolb’s (1984) experiential learning theory to investigate their learning processes. The findings elucidate how the initiative led participants to adapt their curriculum and pedagogy and how they demonstrate resourcefulness in study abroad planning efforts.
