The False Binary of Administrator vs. Activist: SSAO Perspectives on Social Justice in Graduate Preparation Programs

Abstract

While SSAOs across institutional types believe social justice content is a strength of graduate preparation programs, they name the tension in cultivating graduate students as activists without also teaching them to be administrators. To reimagine higher education, SSAOs believe we must blend these frames to best equip early career professionals.
