Predominantly Black Institutions (PBI) are a growing sector of Minority Serving Institutions (MSI). While there has been ongoing focus among other designations of MSIs, there has been little empirical research focused on PBIs. This study will quantitatively explore institutional characteristics of PBIs and their influence on PBI graduation rates.
