DACA, California DREAM, and the Changing Aspirations of Undocumented Community College Students

Abstract

Using student-level college transcript data, we describe undocumented community college students’ college aspirations, as demonstrated through course-taking behaviors. We focus on changes before and after two significant policies: DACA and the California DREAM Act, which expanded postsecondary possibilities for undocumented students.
