Description for Program

This panel focuses on the impact of Hip Hop across Latin America since its emergence as a global phenomenon fifty years ago. This panel, which includes hip hop artists who are now hip hop studies scholars, specialists in hip hop literacies, social movements, race, gender and sexuality studies, will consider the breadth of its impact across multiple sectors of Latin American cultures and society.
